Those in the photos are what I bought. Not really much since I was tired to go all around the mall. Plus, I only found a few items I like. I'm so excited to wear them out. Hi everyone! I just wanted to show you guys my nail polish as of now. I'm not quite sure if I should be doing this but I'll share it to you anyway. My sister painted my nails (because I suck at painting my nails) with this color from Bobbie, not really a spectacular brand of nail polish, but I really like the softness of it.

I really love this ring I got from Anagon! It's too Kawaii! :) Anyway, I have a different color of polish on my toes but I won't show 'em to you. Maybe went I paint the same color to my finger nails? That's all for now! Thank you for all the sweet comments! Keep them coming.

Hello lovely readers! I am in Cebu already.. I arrived early this morning and slept for the rest of the AM. In the afternoon, my sister and I went to Talisay (LTO to be exact) to renew something for the car. To all Cebuana bloggers out there, I hope we can get together sometime and meet each other. Why I love it: The colors in the ensemble are just so yum. You know what I mean? It's really perfect for summer. Also, I love the print of the shorts. The socks match perfectly with the shoes, too! Finally, I got to blog again. I've been really really busy with the shop. Forgive me everyone, for I'm about to do another shameless plug (again).

I've always been into make-up although I'm still quite young to use such. But I think we all know how make-up can make an outfit look even more appealing. If you're following me on Twitter (oh, please do!), I bet you saw my countless tweets about make-up, MAC lipsticks to be exact, with fellow blogger Ivanne. (Hi Ivanne!!!) Follow her on Tumblr -- she's super nice, I tell you! :)

If only my school allowed us to wear make-up, I'd wear make-up everyday.. But the natural looking one, of course. I wouldn't want to look too made up for school. haha Anyway, I quite sure everyone of us adore MAC cosmetics.. especially their lipsticks. I love them! If only they're not too expensive for a student like me. Oh well, just what like Ivanne told me, I'm still young.

And because I adore them to bits, I'd like to share a few of the shades I'm eyeing as of now. I'll sort them from light to darker shades. Here they are:

Dress like a Fashionista ~ Channie

Meet Channie
Hey, I'm Channie. I'm 15 years old and I'm from the Philippines. I am still in High School but I am almost graduating and I am planning to take Architecture and then Fashion Design. I have always loved Fashion, Art, and Music. Though people from my place are not that expressive when dressing, I don't take that as a hindrance from doing what I love. I've always wanted to have my own clothing line and I hope someday, I can build one! :)

Describe your personal style
My style is really uncertain. It depends on my mood, the weather, and the place I'm going to. My biggest frustration is that I live in a very warm country. I wished I lived somewhere cold or where there are 4 seasons. (haha) I am more of a rock, grunge-y girl but I really don't stick to that. I always strive to try new things especially when it comes to Fashion. I can go to girly-girl to rocker chic! It's really that unpredictable. I love to accessorize and I don't really follow trends.

Growing up, were you always into fashion & beauty? Also, describe your personal style over the years and how have they changed.
Yes, always! I remember joining Fashion shows when I was younger. I do modeling before. I was always exposed to Fashion and being in front of the public so I always made sure I looked pleasant. I also remember making a sketching pad with my designs and inspirations (fashion-wise) in it. And I am very conscious of how I look ever since. As for my style and the changes over the years, I think it's really affected by the progress of Fashion -- the trends and the like. Having to cope with the changes, I am now more open to new ideas and to creativity. I also had passion for Fashion, as long as I can remember. But I was in 6th-7th grade when I knew that Fashion is what I love and that I would pursue it.

For college fashionistas on a budget, what are some tips and advice that you would suggest?
Invest in quality basic and classic pieces! because they never go out of style. And if you do follow trends, it's always better if you go for the cheap ones as not to waste money. Let's face it, trends come and go. They just stay for a little while and it's really not practical to spend so much on those. Always be open-minded. Never close your doors to innovation and creativity. Be practical! and don't be too brand-conscious! You can find good quality pieces in thrift stores! :)

What are your fashionista five must haves?
1. A little Black Dress - It's really versatile and you can wear it with anything you want.

2. A good pair of skinny jeans.

3. A good pair of heels (or black pumps)

4. A basic white tee.

5. A gorgeous hand bag. - of course, where would you place your stuff? ☺

What types of stores do you typically shop at?
I go to local department stores, SM and Robinsons. They really have good stuff at a reasonable price. Also, local brands like Freeway, Bayo, Kamiseta, Maldita, and WAGW. But of course, Forever21, Mango, Topshop, and Zara! They have a lot of to-die-for pieces! ☺ But I have to shop with a budget, I go online shopping or go to thrift stores and or I raid the department stores.

Who is your fashionista icon and why?
Wow. This is hard. I have lots of style icons. But I would say Taylor Momsen.. I love her style. We have so much in common when it comes to style. And the superb Rachel Zoe! She's my absolute favorite! I always watch her show. She is someone I really look up too. Her style is amazing! I also like Katy Perry, the Gossip Girl cast, and some local fashionistas like Patricia Prieto and Joanna Ladrido. I have lots of inspirations though. And I most of the time get them from fellow bloggers, Chictopia, Vogue, and local Fashion Magazines.

What are some makeup tips that you would suggest to college fashionistas?
Never be afraid to experiment. And invest in good make-up! ☺Know what suits your skin type and skin color. And always remember to BLEND.

If you could be a stylist for a day for a celebrity, which celeb would that be and why?
I would style Katy Perry because she is extraordinary. She is not afraid to try new things and she doesn't let the negative feedbacks of others affect her and her style. I mean look at her! :D

Anything else that you would like to add or suggest?
BE YOURSELF. and be confident. You can absolutely pull anything off with confidence and a genuine smile! Never let others dictate you and never let them stop you from doing what you want!

Little Country Girl

I was going to the airport with my mom around 4 pm to fetch my sister (which was coming home from Cebu) when she texted us that her flight was delayed. Since the airport was just near SM, my mom and I decided to take a stroll and see what's in store. She was only buying 2 pairs of shoes when *BOOM*! We ended up shopping. I know, so random. I can't wait to style the items I got! Anyway, here's what I wore.

aaaah! My hair sucks! :( I got that skirt a year ago and I can't believe I only got to wear it out now! And those brogues too, I got them last Christmas and got to wear them now. I'm thinking of selling those shoes, I don't really like the color. So if anyone's interested, please tell me! :)

Another look that is perfect for the Shansky Wedges is the color-blocking look. Since it’s summer, colors are everywhere! Bring those colors to your outfit with this look:

Forget About The Price Tag

Finally! an outfit post. If you have been following me on Twitter, you probably know that I have a client meet-up today. I was so psyched for this meet-up because it's my first time. Well, all the nerves went away when I met my client.. lo and behold, I made sale! I'm really happy!

This is what I wore today... minus the heels, of course. A casual outfit for a casual day and I also didn't want to overdress since I commuted. And oh, our house help took my photos for today! yay. Anyway, I really need to lose weight, I'm so fat! pfffttt! :(

Here's a closer look on my pumps! I got them from Urban Og. They're incredibly high yet incredibly comfy! I love them!

I also tried "layering" belts. I hope they worked.. but so far, I think they work. haha ☺

Patricia Prieto, a name you have probably seen on print and online features. But Patricia Prieto is not just a name...there's so much more to this kick-ass lass that has struck the blogging and fashion scene. It isn't hard to spot her since her style has brought her so much exposure. She has been featured on several local trending magazines and fashion websites as well as modeling for some of the Philippines' top designers, retail lines, and magazines. She is also one of Forever 21's Brand Ambassadors. She is 20 years old and juggles school, modeling, and blogging with style. Join us as she shares tidbits about her, her style, and her life.

Personal

Tell us something about yourself.

Well, I'm Patricia Prieto, a 20 year old full time Fashion Design and Marketing student at SoFA (School of Fashion and the Arts), a fashion blogger and model. I was born and raised here in the Philippines but I'm part Spanish.

What do you dream of becoming?

I dream of one day dream of becoming an editor in chief of a fashion magazine, a top blogger (a la Rumi Neely) and successful model. Well, I dream of being successful in anything I do in the future, and of course I dream of being happy as well :)

Aside from fashion, what are the things that interest you?
I love life, enjoy blogging, photography, dancing, painting, soccer, sketching and writing! If you didn't know, I've been painting since I was 5, and I've been dancing for as long as I can remember. I took ballet as a little girl (but later on played soccer) but now I'm more of a hip hop/jazz-y dancer.

Fashion

How would you define your style?
Well, if I were to define my style it would be something edgy and grunge-y yet sophistocated. I love wearing basics with a hint of studs here and there but with heels. I guess, I love the whole messy/comfortable/chic yet clean kind of thing. Although I do like trying some new looks here and there cause it really doesn't hurt to experiment with the way you dress from time to time! :)

When did you first become interested in fashion?

I've been interested in fashion for as long as I can remember!! My mom would tell me that when I was younger I'd pick my own clothes and I'd sketch dresses for her to "have made" back then. I was maybe about 4 or 5?

Who influences you the most and Why? (fashion-wise)

Aside from my mom, bloggers and celebrities such as Rumi Neely, Cory Kennedy, Jane Aldridge, Karlie Kloss, Sienna Miller, Edie Sedgwick, Taylor Momsen and the Olsen Twins.. I too look up to people in the industry like Anna Wintour, Anna Dela Russo, Liz Uy and many more. I look up to these people because I know that they do what they do (fashion-wise) because they love it. Not cause it's the latest trend but they definitely do their own thing which is something I admire about them!

Who are your favorite fashion designers?

I definitely love Chanel, Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang, McQueen ✝, Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Christian Louboutin and Dean and Dan Caten (of Dsquared2).

What are your top 5 closet-must haves?

A white or black tank top, denim shorts, a black bandage skirt, black heels and a black blazer. These will all come in handy any time, take it from me! HAHA! :)

What are top 5 things you can't leave your house without?

Those would have to be my phone, camera, wallet, lip balm and compact. They are my essentials!!

Beauty

How do you take care of your skin?

I make sure to first and foremost wash my face whenever I feel like I should I use Ponds (the black one) followed by Cetaphil. I moisturize with my ever so favorite Boots facial moisturizer. Another thing is to make sure to remove ALL your makeup.. I use Boots eye make up remover and Shu Uemura's skin purifier as well.

Others

When did you start modeling?

I started modeling as soon as I graduated high school and I've been doing it ever since!

How does modeling work? Do you have an agent?

I don't have an agent. But I was part of an agency for a bit but I left since it wasn't really working out. How does modeling work? Well, first you gotta either get discovered of get out there. Go to go-sees and stuff.. I was fortunate to have been contacted as soon as I graduated. If you do a good job, then you get more jobs and stuff. The only thing is everyone wants (or is) a model so it's very competitive. You have got to be THE best and really want to be one or else you'll get eaten up out there.

What advice can you give to all aspiring fashion bloggers and models?

To all aspiring fashion bloggers, do it because you love it. Blogging can be done by anyone and everyone but it you love it and are passionate about it you'll stand out above the rest. Also, do it wholeheartedly, I always tell people not to do things half baked cause it just wont work out, really! Same goes to aspiring models. Although I may not be THE top model out there or what have you, but I think you have to have confidence and perseverance. Blogging and modeling are alike since they're both VERY competitive things, so you have to know that you want it, and you have to be ready for whatever comes your way! Another thing is have fun while doing it, don't force yourself or do it for the heck of doing it :)

That's it! Just so you know, I chose Patricia Prieto as my 2nd Style Thriller since she, after all, is also one of my favorite Filipina bloggers! What I absolutely love about her is that she's so nice to her readers and she takes casual outfits to the next level! You won't even know it's casual! (HAHA) But kidding aside, I really really look up to her. I remember bookmarking her blog even before I stared blogging. So I hope you guys had fun reading this interview just like I did! Just Do It!

And I am not talking about Nike's slogan here.

I really don't know how to start this post. I came up with a realization today, something that just popped out of my head. But before I tell you what that is, I just would like to say Thank you for everything. You may not know me personally, but just getting nice comments from you guys is fulfilling. I know my blog isn't the best, not even good enough. But you still read it (even though I know you don't like what I post here). But then again, this is my page so I have the right to post and talk about what I want.

So, after seeing what happened to Japan (which is more devastating than what happened to New Zealand), things came flashing so fast in my head. Things that might happen, that that might be a sign that the end is near, that maybe I won't be able to go college (and not because of financial issues), that maybe I won't be able to fulfill my dreams, and that maybe it's too late. I know it's dramatic but it's true.

And because of my fear that the world may end too soon, too soon to keep me from doing what I want and from fulfilling my ambitions, I came across a realization -- that life is really too short to say "I'll do that later." and "Tomorrow instead.". Because what if there will no longer be a tomorrow? We really don't know when our time is up, that this life we're living is just borrowed and God may take it away without telling us. So, from now on, I will NOT let anything or anyone hold me back from doing what I want. I will do what I want to do and no one, absolutely no one but God, can stop me. That we should not be contented with what we have, that we should strive for the best, and just let everything else flow even it is not how we want it to be. That we should learn to forgive in order to be forgiven; that we should give in order to receive; that we should understand others in order to be understood; and that we should respect others in order to be respected. For once, let's just live without hatred, without lust, without selfishness.

Some people just don't understand me, or I guess they just don't try to understand me. They would always talk about me behind my back, say nasty things, and provoke and judge me. That hurts, up to now. But I guess I grew wiser -- to not let what others think hold me back. Like the I-dont'-freakin'-care-what-you-say level and the So-what?-you're-just-insecure level. kaloka. I know I got people who don't like me at all, and I know them. But I don't value them. They are just a bunch of self-pitty, insecured, pathetic gals who compete with everyone else like there's a trophy to be won. And I am not like that.I just realized that in life, they will always be people who will try to pull you down until you get buried in sorrow and pain...but as long as you don't let them, they won't and never can bring you down. It's how you handle them that counts. And you should always be superior to them and never ever let their nasty words eat you. LOVE YOURSELF.

I am one who is afraid of failure. I would hate myself for a second when I don't get the best when I know I should've and could've done better. But failure is a part of life. Now, I just let everything be. I know God has better plans for me. If he permits, then it's his will. It's it not for me, then just deal with it.

I am now trying my hardest to live my life to the fullest. Who knows, maybe sooner or later, I'll be gone (Please God, just don't take me yet). I know someone whom I hated so much, so much that I would curse that someone to just vanish and get out of my life. But I guess I just have to forgive that person, in order to have a clear vision of life and have a peace of mind.

Well, I think I have to end this post. I hope you got enlightened too, just like what happened to me. I feel so much better sharing this to you. I feel lighter. Let's just fill our lives with LOVE. Remember that God is good all the time.

Born This Way X American Idol 10

I just so love Lady Gaga and what makes me love her more aside from she's really a great artist is that she's also someone with a big heart! You might have heard the newest YouTube Sensation Maria Aragon and boy, she's amazing considering she's really young. I envy her for having performed live with Lady Gaga in her Toronto Concert. If you haven't seen the video, here it is! I posted 2 video for you to choose from.

Can I just say, I love Lady Gaga to bits?! Some people find her weird and all but I think she's awesome! She's really creative and expressive, and that's what I like about her! And oh, did you know that Maria Aragon (the little girl in the video) is just 10 years old and is a Filipino!? Cool right!? I am so proud of her and I bet she'll go a long way!

Okaaay, this one's a side note. Have you seen Born This Way's music Video? I can understand why the video is like that but I love it nonetheless. If you wanna know why the video was themed like that, click THIS.

On another note, I am so addicted to American Idol already! Aren't you? If you are, then who are your bets? I like Thia Megia (the 15 year old Filipina), Pia Toscano, Lauren Alaina, and James Durbin and Stefano! But too bad my other bets (Julie, Giovanni, and Tim) didn't go in the top 13. Sad :(

Another side note, Jennifer Lopez is back!!!! OMG, she's amzaing still! I love her On The Floor video!

March X Nasty Critics

Just updating for the sake of updating. (haha) Time flies so fast, ey? I can't believe it's already March and just 1 more week to go, I am officially done with school. Well not really 1 week but still. Next week will be our final exams week so I'm hella excited for the agony to end.

Anyway, I'm thinking of deleting my blog and my formspring. It's just that ever since I had this blog, my life turned nuts; my self- esteem went low; and I don't even think I should be blogging. It's just been months since I started blogging and in that same amount of time, I earned lots of critics who leave nasty comments on my page which I had to forcefully delete. I tell you, I am so tired of getting hate mails almost everyday and most of them are about my blog and they all send it to my formspring. Just recently, I received a hate mail from an anonymous person saying this:

"You sound so arrogant in your blog. You speak like you own a fortune or something. It sounds arrogant na parang ang sosyal mo, hay nako, ang arte-arte mo. Tumahimik ka nga!" (I haven't answered this one)

"Hi dear! You need to spice up your blog. I find it quite boring. Where are your outfit posts? suck. Anyway, keep improving"

"You sound a bit redundant in your blog and OC ka masyado. Ano ba naman yan? Parang lahat nalang bina-blog mo. Nakakasawa, okay?"

What's wrong with you people? If you want to judge somebody, find someone else! Do you guys even know how it feels to get hate mails? If so, then don't let somebody else feel the same pain. If you find sending hate mails entertaining, omg, you're sick! Please stop it. It's not funny. Have you heard of showing RESPECT and COURTESY? I am not somebody to judge you so please don't judge me back. I am not even doing anything to you people. It saddens me to know that some people just don't know how to show respect, even just a little.

I keep on repeating this, if you have nothing nice to say, please just Shut up and leave! I just have one thing to say to you, SHAME ON YOU!

She Got That Whole Place Glowing

Our prom took place last February 19 with the theme, Royal Night in Paris. I did not put up much on the theme since I was more like Old Hollywood, but I loved how I looked. Most of the promenaders were in ball gowns while I was on a wedding dress that's like for a beach wedding. They even teased me as Taylor Swift (for Taylor's Mine and You belong with me video, not to mention Speak Now album), Katy Perry, Anne Curtis (haha, because we had the same vintage vibe), and lastly one called me "Oh, you're so Goddess-like!". I received a lot of feedback and I thank everyone so much. (I hope you don't get this in the wrong way, I am not bragging, okay?) Although it was fun, I didn't have so much of a blast.

and because they kept teasing me of being a fairy/engkanto/diwata/white lady,

I'll give them what they want! HAHA.

too bad you can't see my make-up up close though. I really loved it, and

because I loved it that much, I am getting myself a make-up kit!!!

Overall, the whole experience was worth to be remembered and I will forever miss this! I just hope my prom next year will be better. *fingers crossed* I had fun!

Filipina Fashion Doll: Joanna Ladrido

"You're such a doll!", "I love this!", "You are so adorable!", "Stunning!" -- just some of the many beautiful statements we hear when venturing Joanna Ladrido's blog. No one can ever deny the great sense of style this girl has, not to mention the beauty she holds.

I am very lucky to have her interviewed. I don't think is a secret to you all that she's my most favorite (from my many favorites) fashion blogger. I read her blog religiously and I really look up to her. She's the total package, I must say -- with beauty and brains and a great sense of style, this world is hers to rock. Let's get to know her better being the first featured Style Thriller.

PERSONAL

Tell us something about yourself. I am Joanna Ladrido, known as JL to my peers, brand owner/ designer for Glitterati (http://www.shopglitterati.com.ph) and full time fashion and style blogger. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from De La Salle University Manila with a degree in Psychology and Marketing Management, but I realized that fashion was my true calling thus starting up my own upscale retail brand with my BFF, Nina Estacio. I started blogging back in 2007 in Chictopia.com after reading about it in Teen Vogue and I was quite amazed by how much people wanted to buy off the clothes from my back exactly how I wore it. I also had a habit of making my own clothes (ie. tutus and poufy dresses) and this generated much interest from people who read my blog. I discovered I had a knack for dressing up and decided to turn that passion into a business, which has since 2008 grown from an online store to an actual boutique now.

Are you a pure Filipino? I am pure Filipino (meaning I was born and raised in the Philippines by Filipino parents--and proud of it i must say). However, I have Chinese and Spanish roots in my dad and mom's side.

I have to confess though I most usually confused for being pure Korean and Japanese...I'm guessing a look a tad bit more Korean/ Japanese than Pinay.

Where did you finish college? What course did you finish? I graduated from De La Salle University Manila with a degree in AB Psychology and BS Marketing Management. I interned for a few months in Medical City's neuropsychology center as well.

ON FASHION

How would you define your style? My style is very moody or bipolar as I have most often used to describe it. I am very unpredictable and rarely stick to just one look. I love being versatile especially with my style which is why I tend to shock people when I go from pastels and pretty to all black and rocker in a snap of a finger. I guess experimenting is such a major thing for me especially at this age where I can almost get away with anything. One thing I am very very distinctly known for though is my undeniable affinity for high heels... I am always seen in heels and usually the higher-the better!

When did you first become interested in Fashion? It was something I was always interested in, ever since I was a kid, I would custom make clothes for my barbie dolls from scrap fabric with my own tiny sewing machine. When I was in elementary and HS, I always loved being part of the costume committee for school plays and productions. I guess I was born with the interest for it.

Did you take up any Fashion course before establishing your brand, Glitterati? If so, what course was that and where did you take it up? My best friend Nina who is a stylist took a short course in SOFA in fashion illustration. However, personally, everything I learned was self-taught. I bought a lot books on fashion illustration and learned to sketch from that. I studied textile (how to choose the right fabric for outfits etc) from being close with the fabric vendors and by reading up on it and pattern making from my sewers and tailors who were the BEST tutors ever. For brand marketing, my background from college in marketing played a major force in helping me market and promote our brand. I guess I decided to immerse myself in the whole process as my own version of studying rather than taking a course.

Who influences you the most? Why? (fashion-wise) Well, I think I influence myself the most fashion-wise because at the end of the day, I'm the one wearing what I am wearing and I have to be the one comfortable in my outfit. Also, Nina and I have this rule in Glitterati wherein we never ever release designs we know we will never wear ourselves...so that philosophy is kind of like a guiding force in how we design.

However my role model when it comes to style, class and timeless elegance would be my mother. She is my fashion hero. Other style icons I look up to would be Daisy Lowe, Edie Sedgwick, Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman etc.

Who are your favorite fashion designers? I always check up on designs of foreign innovators such as Christophe Decarnin of Balmain, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, and Herve L. Leroux of Herve Leger--designers who put a whole new meaning to body con (slinky tight fit outfits).

For classic pieces, Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, Christian Lacroix, Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa and Carolina Herrera are my inspirations; quirky, avant garde and fun designers I love are Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, Betsey Johnson, Luella Bartley, and Charles Anastase.

ON BEAUTY

How do you take care of your skin? What products do you use? I have insanely sensitive skin and quite a lot of allergies which is why I make it a priority to take extra good care of it. I have my routine consultations with my dermatologist who is my ultimate life saver for my daily skin regimen. I basically get my routine and medication from her as it is very mild and more tailor made for my special skin needs. I do however swear by Shu Uemura's cleansing oil as my favorite makeup remover.

For makeup, I use Shu Uemura and MAC (for lip color) mostly. I do however love experimenting (with extra care though!) with other brands such as The Face Shop, Smashbox Cosmetics, Estee Lauder and Lancome. I also recently invested in my own 35 pc. makeup brush set which was so worth it especially for makeup application.

Where do you get your scars/scrapes? How do you treat them? I am insanely clumsy and tend to fall off balance/ bump into random objects which is why I am bruise and scar-prone. I treat them by basically just letting them go through the natural healing process. Despite the availability of a lot of scar whitening, scar healing products, I am afraid applying products might end up making it worse so I just disinfect with alcohol and use a band-aid to avoid infection and let it run it's own course.

What Goes Up Must Come Down

First thing's first.. I just want to clear this thing up, I DID NOT COPY anyone's header, get it? Before I even put that up in here, I really didn't know that it looked like Patrish's. Believe what you want to believe in. And to stop those nasty comments regarding my header (which you can see in my formspring), I will be making a new one.

Enough of that blah. I am so happy 'cause my sister got me a.... *cue drumrolls* TRIPOD! Hence, the title. She knew how much I wanted a tripod to take my photos (especially now that I have a blog). She surprised me a lot since she told me she isn't getting me one anymore because it was so expensive. But oh well, she loves me. ♥ haha.

Anyway, it's Valentines Day tomorrow and I am not really a fan of it. Yes, I am 15 and I am not so interested in boys and stuff like that. I am driven and I believe that there are more important things in life. Can I just be on house arrest and sleep through it? haha. Maybe I'll just go out with my best friends.

Cirq Regal, a fashion show by the Junior Advertising Students from the UST College of Fine Arts and Design, took the Philippine Blogger world by storm. She Walks The Walk

Bonjour my lovely readers! I am finally back and boy, I am soo freaking tired from school -- dance rehearsals, class pictorial, homework -- they stress me out. Anyway, I am taking break from my trend report (will resume tomorrow hopefully) and will do a full post on someone else..and take note, she isn't from Chictopia.

I guess it's everywhere already - on the telly and in the papers. That's is because she made a mark during the Supermodel of World search of Ford Models. I am talking about Danice Flores Magpantay here. She is 17, a Fine Arts Student, and is the FIRST (and I stress her being first) Fiilipina Supermodel of the World. Can I just say, I SO envy/idolize her right now. Imagine winning something so big at a very young age? That's plain awesome. And hands down, she's soo gorgeous.. the way she appears on photos is just magical.

I do not own the photos. They're from google.

When my mom found out about this, I told her "Ma, she went to modeling school." and she said, "Why don't you go to modeling school instead? You earn more and you'll become a star and go to different places." And I was like, 'ma, what?' HAHA.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I do not claim to know everything. I just read some articles about her.

2011 Fashion Trends: Maxi Goes Sheer

Believe me when I say this, I don't really follow trends.. but, trying some won't harm, right? This is pretty unusual for me to post something about this - trends, fashion reports - but I gave in and thought to just tell you what's in for this year. Just in case you don't know yet. ☺

First on the list of 2011 Fashion Trends is the Sheer Maxi Trend. I don't own anything maxi nor anything sheer but I guess it's time I get some.

Sheer fabric remains one of hottest fashion trends for 2010 and 2011, and plenty of people are wearing it. But it's not all about tight, see-through tops, and dresses that scream 'look at me'. Run your eyes over both Autumn (Fall) / Winter 2010 and Spring / Summer 2010 trends and you'll find sheer fabrics used in a multitude of ways: tight sheer pieces, layers, and the much sought after delicate, feminine draping.

I'm Like, Forget You

I honestly am a self-confessed GLEEK. My last song syndrome is Forget You by Gwyneth Paltrow with the Glee Cast. Hence, the title. I love Glee and I always catch it on it's airing days and I am always excited for the songs they do on the show. They have great versions. (well, for me atleast) If you haven't seen it, here it is!

Anyway, sorry for being MIA lately, busy with school stuff and all, plus I am helping with choreography for our dance presentation during survival camp. As a dance troupe member, I somehow have the responsibility to contribute some steps.

I just posted to tell you that I am alive! haha. Sorry, no outfit post again. It's been really hot these days so I basically just wear jeans and tee. Not so fashion-ish, I know. But comfort is important you know.

They're pretty weird, but when we talk about High-Fashion, these are the perfect shoes! ☺ I just think that those two on top would be not so comfy. But someone has said, Fashion knows not of comfort, it's the face you show the world. Unfortunately, I forgot who said that. haha. Would you wear these?

I have totally moved on from the hater mails and I am sooo happy right now. I can't believe I just laughed it off for about a minute or two. I have a clear mind set-up of what I want and what I know, and I believe that there are MORE important things in life. And hello? I won't stoop down to their level.

Is it me? or there are just a lot of haters nowadays? I checked my Formspring account just recently and again, I received another hate mail. I don't really care but I am so sick of it already. You know the feeling when you're not doing anything bad and then people hate you? I am so sick of this crap already and they have just crossed the line. I don't hate reply to each hate mail but this is just a statement for you, my haters.

Dear hater/s, you keep on judging me. You barely know me, and for you to judge me is such an idiotic thing to do. If you are bored to death, do something else. If you think you can pull me down, think again. ☺ If you think you know me because I blog about my life, c'mon! Get a hold of yourself. You are not even significant to me and I can't believe I'm wasting time catering and entertaining the crap you produce. Can't you just do something productive? Oh please. There are lots of important things that I should attend to and you are certainly not one of them. I got people here who loves and accept me, not only for who I am, but also for who I am not. I am not here to please you, 'cause I know I can't do that. But please, if you do not like me and my blog, it would be nice of you to just leave. Please, can I just have a piece of your respect? ... if you have any. It takes just a bit of respect to make this world better. Don't be too selfish. Anyhow, go on. A Royal Night In Paris

that would be the theme for this year's prom which I am not ecstatic (at all) to attend. Anyway, I am looking for designs so if anyone of you wants to help me (please do help me), please submit your designs to christianne_1209@yahoo.com. And I just might give you something in return.

My interpretation of the theme (gown-wise) is, it would be something that's made of tulle or just something fluffy! haha. Please also note that the designs that you will submit will serve as alternatives since I will have to do a gown hunting. If I do not find anything I would want to wear, I'll use my design or yours, whichever is better! BTW, my color of choice is black or red. hope you'll give me something edgy, I will really really really love it! Let your creativity burst! I and help the unfortunate soul. HAHA.

I Leave The Lights On

As much as I hate my blog to be boring, I seem to have no right to complain for low progress on blog, Chictopia, and my twitter because my life is too boring right now. I seldom go out (which explains lack of outfit updates) and we are in uniforms in school. I seem to not have a chance to blog constantly and believe me when I say this - I'm so sorry.

We are approaching the end of the school year which also explains all this boring nonsense. and I am too busy with school stuff, not to mention being in the School Council. We are currently handling and organizing events (prom, camping, and the finals!!!!!)

Anyway, I hope these photos will somehow replenish you considering my absence. It's been a long time since I last held my camera. LOL.

I am dreading Chemistry. Thank God my teacher is nice! ☺ Physics, on the other hand, is my current favorite! :)

A Poket Full Of Holes

Bonjour! I am so sorry for the unannounced hiatus. You know the drill, if I don't post, it means I have nothing to post and there is nothing interesting going on in here (well, at least fashion wise). Having that said, I will really really really try harder to post as often as I possibly could. Even more, it is in my new year's resolutions list. So, I really hope my schedule would cooperate as well as the weather. The weather in here has been really unpredictable -- and with that, it means good and bad. Good because it's cool and bad because it always, if not often, rains. Especially during the afternoons.

Anyway, I really should earn money. I am an artsy, broke girl who blogs her feelings without minding that the whole world could read it. Yes, I AM BROKE. Literally. The only money I got in my wallet is ..... uuuhmmm... $8! It's horrible. And the worst part is, I purchased a new pair of classic black pumps from UrbanOg. Again! Hence, the title.

UrbanOg is a goldmine! You probably have read this in Dianne's and Vessa's blog. I purchased shoes from UrbanOg together with them. And I shouldered the shipping which (WTH) is like a fortune. Please forgive me for the hyperbole. But it's alright, I got used to it already. Good thing I have relatives in the States! ☺

That's it for now. The holidays are over, so is the break. I am back in school which is so UNfabulous! gaaah. Can I just skip the school part? HAHA. And one more thing, School is soooo stressing me out! Trigonometry is so frustrating. And we'll have saturday classes soon. More headaches approaching.

It's so good to be back! Having no internet connection for about 3 days is like torture! Now that I am back, I am having a hard time catching up on everyone's blog. The archive is pretty long so I really have to keep up. But don't worry, I'll try my very best to read all of your blogs.

4 days left of 2010 and we'll all say "HELLO, 2011.". One of the things I am excited about for 2011 is the coming of new trends, collections, and endless fashion possibilities. This post is more about the late Alexander McQueen and the Alexander McQueen S/S 2011 Collection.

The whole Fashion industry was devastated when Alexander McQueen passed away. Not only did the Fashion industry lost one of the best designers but also lost the hope of seeing such grandiose fashion that McQueen has been living up ever since. But this collection gave the entire world the assurance that the Alexander McQueen legacy will still be alive -- thanks to Sarah Burton. She worked with McQueen for 15 years and she is very qualified to continue McQueen's legacy.

I so love this S/S 2011 collection. Burton really did a great job in carrying McQueen's legacy and craftsmanship into work. This collection still has the edge that McQueen is known for. Pure genius! I will forever miss Alexander McQueen and will always be my favorite fashion designer.

Mickey Mouse

Such crappy photos, I know. Please excuse me. I didn't have the time to take a photo of this outfit before going out.

Just a quick outfit post of what I wore yesterday. I accompanied my sister to the mall to buy a new pair of Levi's which was a major fail. She was going to buy one but she didn't find anything she liked. There was this pair but they ran out of it in her size. So, as not to was the effort of going there, we went to Starbucks while waiting for my mum's mani-pedi session to end. While waiting for mum, we decided to head to the nearest McDonald's. She then met with her friend and ended up chatting with each other for hours. It was horrible waiting for them to end the conversation.

As for the outfit, I wanted a easy breezy one. So, I opted for a shirt dress with hoodie and then just added stockings and accessories. The outfit is really comfy which I like so much. I so love this shirt dress because it has mickey mouse in it and even has little crystals on it.

I received a lot of weird stares today. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT! It's like torture with a pleasure. HAHA. And I love this red lipstick color of mine! ☺

Finally, another I dig this! ♥. I always forget or rather, I have no time, to post yet another chic outfit for the past month. But it's alright. You probably had a great dose of ensembles at Chictopia and Lookbook. Today, I got Marcella of Fashion Distraction. You probably have seen this outfit out in her blog though.

What a great outfit to chill in? I just love the colors in the ensemble. The color of the pants and shoes doesn't over power the color of the top and bag as it does the same. The color palette is neutralized and is really toned just the way I like it. Marcella has pulled off yet another tres chic ensemble that everyone loves!

Did you get something from your Christmas wishlist? Well, I definitely didn't. Because 1. I didn't make a wishlist (all I had was a shopping list, WTH) and 2. even if I had one, I still got no money to buy even some of them. I have been lusting over shoes, clothes, bags, make-up, and more shoes for a long while now and I can't seem to get enough of it. Just like what everyone says, "A girl can dream." Hence, the title. I guess that line has been a cliche for sometime now, don't you think?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Just a simple outfit post of what I wore for Christmas (and Noche buena). As you can see, I am wearing the same top I wore here. That's because that post was done earlier that morning. I just changed into jeans and I wore my new leopard-printed shoes!

Noche Buena was great! We had a Secret Santa going on with the family and close workers (yes, they're part of the family already) and as what I have said, a picked out my eldest sister and gave her a new pair of black flats because she always borrows mine. On the other hand, my other sister (from Here) had picked me and gave me a red lipstick! I was actually meddling with her to give me one. HAHA. ☺ We're sorta best friends.

This is what I wore to my shopping trip with my other sister. The eldest sister didn't come because of unknown reasons. She did give us money though. Anyway, my hunt for a good pair of black and nude pumps is a super FAIL. I did not find any and if there were, they all ran out in my size. gaah. I'm a size 9-10 by the way.

I did bought a pair of acid washed jeggings, accessories, and brogues. And a new pair of black flats!

She Read My Tarot

This is what wore to a day (and night) out with my sister and her friends. She brought me with her because I was alone at home and I was bored like WTH. I had so much fun with her and her friends! They are just the best companions. They are her friends from way back high school.

About the outfit. I finally got to wear this blue sheer top I got in... I forgot. It was buried deep in my closet. Anyway, I am wearing a Blue Sheer top from Luxury Trap, Skinnies from Lee, Peep-toe pumps from Primadonna, and black bag from Nine West.

About the title. Maya (not sure how to spell her name) from England (I met her at the party I attended, will blog about that next) knows how to read tarots. After reading tarots of most of the guests in the party, I was her last. She read mine. My reading wasn't bad t all, she said. I just have to be careful. Exciting. The reading excites me!

Here Comes The Cat

Finally! My sister arrived early this morning and I am just so excited. I finally have someone to spend time with. She just got home from Cebu. She pursues Law there in University of San Carlos. She was supposed to take it up in Ateneo De Manila University, but sadly the parentals wouldn't allow because 1. It's unsafe (esp. because she's alone); 2. the way of life in Manila is just to much; and 3. it's too far! Well, it's just great that I'll be having a lawyer sister soon. (haha!) ☺

Nuff said 'bout my sissy. One thing I am most excited about her arrival is the arrival of my dearest, killer leopard pumps! Hence, the title. It's lame, I know. I asked her to buy it for me (using my money of course) because the brand where they're from isn't available here in the city. BOO THAT. She even teased me for buying such cheap ones. But I said, they're not cheap. They're just affordable! Get the diff? They should really open an Ayala Mall here, you think so? :)

This is kinda off topic but I'm really excited for Noche Buena (Pre-Christmas Dinner/Christmas countdown). We're having a Secret Santa here at home and I picked my sister! The Black Swan

Just so you know, I have a passion for dancing. I love to dance. When I was younger, I took Ballet lessons and I was good at it. I even was in the top class. I wanted to be a Prima Ballerina but sadly, I didn't pursue with my passion for Ballet.

When I knew about the Black Swan movie, I was so psyched! I really want to watch it. But it isn't showing here yet. I am really excited. Even just the trailer made me miss my points, the plies, the pirouettes. But I am still continue to dance up to now. I am a part of our school's dance club for about 6 years now.

Collision

Yesterday, upon going home, we encountered an accident. Hence, the title. No one was harmed, Thank God. Okay, so here's the full story.

It was 6:00 pm when we (ny mom, older sister, younger brother, and I) went to church and heard the mass. (We do that every Sunday) Then, after the mass, we headed to Robinsons (a mall not so far away) to pick up some groceries. We then decided to have dinner in a restaurant but unfortunately, no more tables were available. So, without any other choice, we went home but decided to drop by a barbecue station. When we got there, I immediately ordered for takeout. We got our order already, my mom was unparking. Then she changed to reverse when she accidentally stepped on accelerate. then BANG!

We accidentally hit a Honda Civic (?) car. I was so nervous. The accident left us with no choice but to it in the barbecue station instead. When the police came, she instructed my mom to move the car so we can see the damages caused. Surprisingly, both cars were totally cool. Our car's bumper was fine, just minor scratches. While the Civic got a few cracks on it's left headlight, slight scratches, and a minor deformation of it's hood part.

Nevertheless, God is still good to us! :) Thank goodness no one was harmed!

You know why we do not have time to travel? My family is busy. My dad is busy going to Spain- then China- then Brazil and vice versa. My mom is busy with supervising the construction of our new house; my sister is caught up with work; and my other sister is busy with law school. Now, tell me, who ran out of budget again? :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I bet her life is boring, ey? Why does she have to be so mean? Just to clear, I don't know her and I totally don't have an idea who she is.

Christmas in Candyland

HELLO CHRISTMAS BREAK! ☺

I designed that "Christmas in Candyland" text. The whole student council decorated the venue :) Which I am proud to be a part of.

That was this year's theme of our Christmas party. I suggested it, and everyone in my org approved. It was fun but it ended too soon.. like 7 pm? tsk. Not everybody dressed according to the theme though. Maybe they were shy and didn't have the guts.. but it's alright! The important thing is everybody enjoyed!

It started about 4 in the afternoon. Some of the highlights of the party were the "Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus look alike" and "Live Christmas Tree". The games were fun too, but I didn't join. I enjoyed watching and cheering for them though.

It's been a long time coming

NIGHT.

I wore this to church (lowered the skirt, of course) and to the mall. I spent about 8 hours in two malls (SM and Limketkai) to hunt for some clothes and for gifts but I absolutely did not find anything. BOO :l CHRISTMAS SHOPPING = EPIC FAIL ! Maybe next time.

I finally got to wear this Olivia & Fifth skirt which I bought about a year ago and this Fab sequined top which was buried deep in my closet. I must say, I am a sucker for anything that sparkles! I was supposed to wear this on my birthday but I didn’t go out. We didn’t have dinner out. But nevertheless, I still got to wear ‘em. Anyway, my sister took those night shots using my new DSLR camera that my parents bought me for my birthday! It’s the awesome-st birthday gift ever!

Best Birthday Gift yet!

Remember my birthday wishlist? I hope you do! I am extremely happy, this is so surreal! The first thing in my wishlist was a dslr camera (Canon 550D) then a netbook. Guess what? I got the camera! My mom bought it for me, as well as my dad (too bad he's not here for my bday! :I ) But anyway, I love it! I am in ecstasy. I actually said this already in my previous post, but I had to post a different blog for this one! *excited*

FINALLY! My own SLR Camera! :D

Now, who wouldn't be happy to get what you really wanted? definitely not me! This is extreme! I can't wait to put that into good use! And guess what? A coincidence! We're having photography as a part of our class and we shall submit 20 frames as our exams! HAHA.

Today was a Fairytale

Today is totally worth blogging about! ☺ First of all, I would like to thank those who greeted me on my special day (and to those who haven't greeted yet, it's not yet too late. HAHA) I just want to say,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! :D

Sorry for my vanity! HAHA :p Anyway, I am in ecstasy right now and I will be telling you why in bits! So, to start off, I would like to tell you how my day went! Just like the usual, I woke up around 6:30 am and took my breakfast. Nothing special really but for the fact that it's my birthday, it's like a different one. I can't believe I am 15 already! How time flies, ey? So, I then bathed and went to school. And when I got there, I saw a simple surprise which made my heart melt. (MUSHY!)

They're so sweet! ♥

Then the same routine went, except for the popularity of my birthday. and people kept greeting me! They're so sweet! Then in the after, we had no classes due to an outreach-program our school had! How great is that? same date as my birthday? :) It gave me a chance to give and share my blessings to the kids who are not as fortunate as me.

And could this day be any better? YES! ☺

YEEESSS! My very own DSLR camera! Oh God! ☺ Now, who won't be happy once the very thing in your birthday and christmas wishlist is in your hands? NOT ME! haha :p That's why I am in ecstasy right now! This is the best birthday gift ever! Thank You Parents! ♥

Birthday Wishlist

I am ecstatic right now! It's almost my birthday (it's on the 9th of December) and I can't wait to turn 15. It's not so much of a biggie actually, I just feel more like a teen! HAHA ☺ Anyway, I was so surprised this morning when my mom told me she was getting me a new phone for my birthday. I was happy, but I really didn't want a phone. I'm contented with my phone right now (and it's not even high-tech). My phone is much of a back-to-basics phone, but who cares? I don't.

Ever since, I really had these things in mind to be bought or gifted to me since I don't have moolah to buy these. So, my mom then asked me what I want, but I am shy to tell her! LOL. I know what you're thinking. But these things I got in mind are totally not cheap! Here they are:

Okay! First in line is CANON EOS 550d Kit which costs about Php 49, 950.00! I really want to have my own DSLR. I am so interested with photography but I guess this is a lot for me, but if my parents would be me this, I WILL BE IN ECSTASY! ☺

A good netbook! This HP 110 will work out just fine. I don't know with the other brands yet. But I am really meticulous when it comes to the specifications. Having a netbook is really a great help especially with school work and blogging!!! :D HAHA. If ever I'll get a netbook, I still have to canvas and check the specifications.

That would be it! What would you get if you were me? I won't be posting a Christmas wishlist yet, but I'll get there! hihi ^^ BTW, I am getting myself a pair of leopard pumps! I can't wait! :D

Driving Towards Excellence

I attended a seminar yesterday which was a leadership seminar. I was quite hesitant to come at first since I am not so much of a fan of seminars and lectures, but I had to (well, at least I think I had to). I also didn't want to waste the opportunity. So there I went, I honestly was in a bad mood because of one main reason: I simply do not have an outfit to wear. I had planned on an outfit but I didn't work since I had to change my bottoms from shorts to jeans. But nevertheless, I left the venue inspired, very inspired. I bet you are wondering why. Let me tell you why, the speaker was Francis J. Kong --the great Francis J. Kong. Francis Kong is the president of Success Option Publishing Company, Director of Inspire Leadership Consultancy and A columnist, author (with 10 books I think?), as well as an international speaker, trainer and consultant. I barely know him, really. I didn't even care who he was. But after that short talk, he became someone in my life. He truly inspired me. It was like I banged my head so hard on my desk then I started to realize things, it was that crazy. Yesterday's talk was his 327th talk of the year, awesome ey? He is omniscient, though he never claimed to be. But one thing is for sure, he is a wise man. No words can express how inspired I am right know, but after hearing that talk, I just knew then what I want to be -- a man of excellence.

So, moving on. After the seminar, I went to see my friends and had some lunch. Of course, I had to feed my babies (those inside my tummy :p). HAHA. I had lunch at Greenwich, my favorite fastfood/resto. They have the best pizza and pasta. Well, at least for a commoner like me. ☺

After we had lunch, we watched the movie "My Amnesia Girl" which was humorous and touching at the same time. Really good movie, the script is nice, and so were the lead cast/roles. So, for those who live in the Philippines, I really recommend for you to watch it! You won't regret it. Well, then after, I went for a stroll in the mall, going in and out of several boutiques hunting for something I might like. I found some, but nothing I would die for. BOO :l It's so hard finding good stuff in here. Oh well. Anyway, I am so excited to come to bazaars! There will be bazaars starting this week and I can't wait to score some bargains! Shopping wisely, ey? HAHA. I'm in to saving right now since I have got to go to Cebu! I really need some retail therapy.

And one more thing, I vowed to try not to wear jeans anymore (or as often that usual) and wear skirts and shorts instead. That would be a great step to overcome my fashion insecurities. But my only problem and have become a hindrance is the fact that my legs have darken. PLUS! my knees are so bruised. aaaah >.< This one's kinda off topic. My body is in pain right now, literally. I have been training for the CheerDance (or cheerleading) Competitions this coming January.

Hello loves! I just got home from school and boy, I am so tired. Good thing we didn't have so much activities today. Anyway, I just have to share this to you! ☺ Please take note that I am NOT bragging or anything. Okay, so, I remembered blogging about the English month and the contests I joined (posts from weeks ago) and the results are in! I won 3rd place in the Spelling Bee among 18 contestants and Champion in News Writing Contest among 9 contestants! This won't be possible without God. So thank you Lord and to God be the glory! ☺

Yes, another I dig this! ♥ entry! I have got to know what to do with my blog.. I don't feel like it coming together you know. HAHA. What's wrong? I don't know what to blog about, since I haven't been going out lately. And if I do, I tell you, YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE WHAT I WEAR! ☺ It's a bit of a fashion faux pas and I definitely don't stand out. Well, sometimes, it's quite fun to blend in. But definitely not as fun as when you shine and stand out from the crowd! However, I hate being given too much attention.

Today, I am doing another entry of I dig this! ♥. My newest click here on my blog! Last time, if you read my last post (which I hope all of you are doing), I blogged about Kani of K is for Kani Blog. Well, this time, I got the stunning Joanna Ladrido a.k.a JL of Only the Marvelous.

How can I not love this outfit? It's absolutely PERFECT! The colors, the hues are in perfect combo. Plus, that blazer is beautiful! She never fails to amaze me, she is totally rocking this outfit! What more can I say? I super love this!!!!!!!

Joanna Ladrido. She's a blogger, a fashion designer, a STUNNER! She is marvelous. She is one person I know who can instantly beautify an outfit- effortlessly. I can totally relate to her style because we have the same style -- edgy, feminine, sultry, and totally unpredictable. She is also one person I know who can pull off outfits that are so TRES CHIC! I give you two words, LOVE-HER! ♥

Okay, this one is off-topic! This week's our exam week and I am so nervous to get my report card :/ Yes, I am scared. Channie- the fearless girl, is afraid to get her report card. GOSH. Oh well, I still have this term and I am 'bout to finish this term off with a bang! I really have to get pumped up. School is so nerve-wracking.

On the other hand, my birthday is fast approaching! It's on the 9th of December and I am so excited! I'm turning 15! Time really flies.. :)

I dig this! ♥ Velvet and Sheers

Hello! So, I've been thinking a lot lately, (and no- nothing serious) about getting some 'interesting' bites here on my blog. What came spinning in my mind was doing a "I dig this!" section where I post and blog about outfits of fellow bloggers/Chictopians that I totally covet! :) This section is pretty much inspired by Bestie's "I covet thy look". So, Thank you Bestie! I would really love to meet her in person! She's so inspiring!

Okay, without further ado, I am welcoming you to my first *drumrolls* I dig this! (haha)

Up to my first IDT entry. Kani of K is for Kani blog really had me going on this outfit of hers! Love this. This outfit is from her Velvet and Sheers entry which she posted like two days ago.

On to the outfit. I love love love everything in this outfit! ☺ All the elements go well together and contrasts the colors without having that weird color bursts and faux pas! The top is perfect with it's ladylike facade and I can really feel it's texture (even if I can't touch it). Plus! look at the print, look closely, it's lovely right? ☺ I also love that she tucked the top in to the shorts! Fabulous! Adding that black cardigan extenuates the outfit so much! :) PERFECT!

Another great tip I got from reading her blog is finding a good solution to shoes that don't fit perfectly - socks! I read in her blog that those shoes were a big for her, that's why she then added the socks! Cool right? They're easy, comfy, and fabulous! Lovin' the belt and hat too!

Kani, one of my favorite bloggers, made it to my first IDT! :) How can't she? She is stunning! and smart! ☺ If you're not following her blog, then you better be!

Yeah Right! ☺ What a title (haha). Yes, you read that right. I'm still breathing, been blog-dead for awhile no? Well anyway, I still got no outfits to post! Maybe next week. I'm looking forward to that! Geez! It's been awhile. You haven't heard of me for what? months now? I know. I know. I owe you a lot of outfit posts! hihi ^^

I've been so hella busy these past few months. (sorry for that) As usual, school is such a badass! GOSH. I really need to get pumped up and get my grades back. I think I failed 2 major exams, which is a total NO-NO that's why. I am really struggling, oh God! I just got home from school and I joined a 'News Writing Contest'. Whew! It's such a relief to finally get some rest with some cake and no assignments to think about. Anyway, our exams will be on next week so I'll be on a hiatus again. BOO :| But! When I get back, I promise, outfit post! :D

And hey! My shoes came in about two weeks ago and I can't wait to wear 'em!

Fashion Colors for Fall 2010

We're not sure when the whole wide world of Fashion gets the annual "memo" about what colors will take the runways by storm, but season after season, the big tonal trends do shine through. Like everyone else, we love fall colors best...partly because the shades go deep and dark, or alternately, bold and bright. But this fall introduced a few unexpected contenders in the color category: Along with rich purple, mixed olive tones, and more burnished metallics, soft classic camel made a comeback and so did the brightest red. To get you on the right color wheel, we've rounded up the six fall color trends to start bringing into your own closet...September is, afterall, just one little month away.

1. Camel—If you're not sure if you have any camel in your fall/winter wardrobe, now's the time to stock up. Gucci, Chloé, and Dries all paid homage to fashion's most decadent neutral. We recommend a camel blazer or overcoat, just like Dries and Michael Kors did.

2. Rich Purple—Gem tones reigned supreme for fall/winter 2010, but the deep purple and plum colors that lit up the fall runways of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Burberry, and Oscar de la Renta dazzled us most.

3. Modern Metallic—When designers remind us they love metallics, let's just say they're preaching to the choir. In little skirts, tailored blazers, and floor-length dresses, silver, gold, and soft copper all returned the runways for fall in a big way, thanks to Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, and Moschino. And we love every bit of it.

4. Mixed Olives—Building on the military trend that began a few seasons ago, all shades of olive greens, browns, and fatigues had a surprise impact for the fall season. Burberry Prorsum lead the charge with Jill Stuart and Rag & Bone all turning out their own delicious helpings of mixed olives.

5. Pale Blue—The dark horse of fall 2010's color trends, pale blue really caught our attention not only because it seemed unexpected for the cold season, but because it had an icy-cool modernity that seems incredibly chic right now. Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, and Marc Jacobs all delivered a cool-blue spell worth catching.

6. Bright Red—Give us a bright red blazer or day-dress any day! And this fall, designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Jill Stuart, and Yigal Azrouel all revisited this classic red-hot shade in a fresh new way.

My Thingamajigs

Hello Loves! Double post, I know. But I don't care (HAHA)! I just want to conduct a little show-and-tell of my little Anagon Collection. Ana-what? It's my collection of accessories - rings and necklaces - from Anagon Collection. These babies are the best. I am not doing this to brag or anything. I just get a lot of "I love your ring!" comment lately, so I figured to show you my stuff. How about we start?

Let's start off with my rings.

These were made-to-order. When I saw them, I knew I had to have them made. They're gorgeous.

Rose rings. I also have these in pink but I gave it to my bestfriend. Sigh :l But still, they're in good hands.

The black one is a classic while the other one just screams ROCK! lol. I have another one, just plain, with star shapes. But then again, I gave it to my bestfriend. I also have another ring, its a crown. It's my favortite. But I gave it again to my bestfriend. You see? I am such a good bestfriend. :P

Okay. So let's proceed to my necklaces. Shall we? :) These are just some. I just chose some because some are not really that nice. And these are my personal favorites.

My candy lollipop. This necklace is my personal favorite. It's just so cute. ♥

My stole my heart. A heart necklace again. It's glitter inside. I still haven't used though.

Dream Catcher necklace with butterfly. Another favorite of mine. This was also made-to-order. It's really cute.

Hola! It's been like years since I last posted here, ey? But WTH, still no outfit post! Yeah, boo that :l Anyway, I am just going to share to you some photos from the intramurals we had last week. We really enjoyed though last last year's Intramurals was much more fun! :) And to top this post off, we won Champion in our Cheering Competition! YEY! :D

And oh! Did i tell you we even played basketball? It was so funny! The whole event took place last October 1-4, 2010. There was TONS of fun and booths which really are fun - love chain, jail booth, marriage booth, blind date booth, dare booth. Plus! The games were really fun. Ahhhh, hang over. I still can't believe it's over now.. sigh :l

Hey Loves! I am back - with no outfit post and nothing interesting to blog about (I don't know if this is interesting :P). It sucks, for almost 3 months now, I haven't updated my chicBlog and no outfit posts feel like WTH! Anyway, this is just something random, and when I say random, I mean R A N D O M !

I remember telling you about the investigatory project we had to make right? Well, its an EPIC FAIL. boo :| haha. eat that! So, we had to undergo a preliminary defense wherein they choose 5 (?) IPs for the finals. It doesn't really matter, I don't care if we won't be chosen (HAHA. Evil me!). Tomorrow will be the end of our Sci-Math Celebration in school and! *drumroll please* HELLO, INTRAMURALS! We all need a break from all these sucker school stuff and this would be the perfect solution! Yes, there will be problems but just tiny ones that we can overcome right away (I hope we will ☺). I hope this year, we will really have fun! Hey, we are hungry for this (and this is not hyperbole). We didn't have intramurals last year since the school foundress died. Oh well. I am so psyched.. GEE!

Field Trip 2010

a.k.a. boring much (HAHA)! :P Today, our batch (in school) went to a Field Trip in line with the Science Month Celebration. Yes, I was supposed to be in the City Hall for my "Youth City Information Officer" job, but WTH, I just had to join. I didn't want to miss important events in school especially because I know that vain-ess will attack again resulting to about 300 ++ photos! Which I must say, are beautiful. My camera takes such good pictures. I am so proud of it (HAHA)!

Anyway, so much for the blah. We shall now move on to the more blah part! We had 2 destinations for this field trip. 1. Phivedic Industrial Authority and 2. Philippine Sinter Corporation.

Phivedic Industrial Authority. They house some of the country's biggest companies. Having about 30 hectares of land with about 25 stretch of coast, PHIVEDIC is considered to be in the perfect place for industries. They also have a port that can accommodate uber big ships. Why do I consider this destination boring? Because We only had a short briefing with a Q and A portion. They then toured us around the vicinity but we only stayed in the bus. BOO :||

We then went back to school for lunch then headed to the Philippine Sinter Corporation. Now, here's where the good things begin! So, you might be asking what PSC is doing. So, they produce Iron ore (the main component in making steel) and sell it to their mother company, JFE (from Japan). Individually, I had fun there. From the briefing and all, to the Q and A portion, I enjoyed. Especially because I kept on asking questions. Anyway, here are some photos from a tour in PSC.

Teenage Dress Up Dame

Hello loves! Happy Tuesday! If you have noticed, I changed my blog's name and header again. I can't seem to find the perfect name for my blog. Anyway, I named it as "Teenage Dress Up Effigy". I just love how it sounds. I figured that it would be nice to name it how I want to be recognized. Hence, the title. Just to break your curiosity levels down, why not have a word-by-word breakdown? ey?

Teenage - of or pertaining to a teenager; being in one's teens
Dress Up - put on special clothes to appear particularly appealing and attractive;
Dame - informal terms for a (young) woman; a woman of refinement

I hope you all are enlightened. I used "dame" than "doll" because I just figured that the word "doll" is so hackneyed. I actually got my inspiration from Katy Perry's latest single, Teenage Dream. It's my new favorite. I repeat it in my iTunes so many times. So many times that people here get annoyed. Oh! Before I forget, Katy Perry is my favorite singer! :) I also love it's music video, it's a genius! ( hihi ☺)

Happy Sunday everyone! :) I went to the mall today, alone, because I had to run some errands. I sent my payment for the fringe vest and cropped top I showed you last time. The mall was packed today! Well, which is normal since it's Sunday. Also, a sale was going on.. like up to 70% off on selected items. I was restraining myself to buy stuff since I want to save up. I am literally broke, no more money in my bank account. And I don't do credits. So, maybe next time. I checked on some stuff though, so I can save up for them.

Anyway, I was on a search for cute fedoras and some beanie and some clear frames. Voila! I bought a random fedora and 2 red beanies. First, I bought one..but when I saw one which is better than the first one I bought, I knew I had to get it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find some clear frames and only saw wayfarers (and they weren't in black! not even in clear frames!) *sigh*

Bottomline is: I am excited to have my hands on my fringe vest ala F21! :D

Youth-tarians

Hello Lovelies! I'm back from a short hiatus.. Don't you just adore long weekends? 'cause I love long weekends. You might be asking why my weekend is long, the answer is: we have Friday is a holiday (due to the Eid'l Fitr or the Christmas of Muslims) + saturday + sunday! My days are just pretty loaded nowadays so that might explain my being on a hiatus!

Anyway, as for the title... yesterday, Friday, I went to a Forum by Rotarians from my place. It's called New Generation Forum where top junior students from every school is invited to join. Lucky me, I was chosen by my teacher. So, the forum was pretty boring, but I learned a lot. Then, we did some little elections for the Youth Council and to work with the City Officials for one week! Oh yeah :} I am seriously psyched about it..

So, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro (city where I live) treated us, Youth council, to a City Tour wherein we went inside a famous cave here in my place and went to the famous Gen. Mac Arthur Marker and and and! to go white river rafting for free! AWESOME. It's quite expensive, but just our luck!

As for the rafting pictures, I was only able to take snaps before we actually went rafting. The official photog has all the pictures while we were on board :D

Hello Lovelies! In line with my daily life dosis/fashion alert yesterday, ~~which is not something big~~, I just have the greatest ideas of how to dress myself up which you might see real soon here and in Chictopia! I am really excited.

Anyway, this fringe vest is such a steal! It looks similar to the fringe vest from Forever21 and it costs less than half the price! How cool is that? So, I've been thinking lately of updating my ChicBlog since I haven't done so. It's been months now. I really miss Chictopia and all the sweet comments! ♥

Sweet Surprise

Hi Loves! I just got home from the mall! If you're wondering what I was doing in the mall during a school day, well, I went home first then headed to the mall with my parents and my lil' bro. We did some errands and I bought some stuff such as ~~undies~~ (oooppss!) and some pairs of socks. My socks have been MIA these past few weeks and I don't know where the heck they went! I was supposed to send my payment for my UrbanOgs but the line was hella long and I didn't want to wait in line since I had to run some errands and my brother's waiting for me in the department store. And they were closing already..

Anyway, I was so psyched when I got to the department store. There were a lot of new stuff and there was a sale going on! (YEY!) but the sale isn't for me now, I have a lot of dues to pay since I've been spending more than what I actually earn. But the things is, I haven't visited the mall since like months now and there are a lot of stuff that's occuring, constantly changing, and just THE DEPT. STORE IS PACKED WITH FAB CLOTHES! Sadly, I'm stopping my self to shop now since I am saving up for brogues and acid washed denims.

Other than the stuff I bought (which I mentioned up there), I also bought a copy of Candy Magazine, one of the Philippines most premiere magazines. I am an AVID READER! YEY! They're actually for teens. I love it 'cause it contains so much in Fashion! It updates me with the HOTs and NOTs in Fashion and not just that, it also guides me in life and school. I bought the August 2010 ish 'cause I wasn't able to buy a copy of it (i know it's september already). Anyway, Lea Michele is on the cover! LOVE HER! She's amazing!

Two of my favorite Fashion Personalities, Camille Co (a young Fashion Designer) and Patricia Prieto (a blogger, model, and student). And you know, even if I haven't known them in person, I can personally say that they are so nice!

On another Fashion note, I just purchased a fringe vest and a nautical cropped top from an online shop. They're thrifted, but chic!


It looks like the one in Forever21. I scored this vest for only $11 or Php 500.

and this nautical stripped blue cropped top for only P350 or about $7. Such a steal!

I can't wait for these to come! :D

Winning isn't everything....

...but it is SOMETHING! I know that winning isn't everything but it feels so great to win. Winning is something - something you can be proud of and something that people can be proud of you. Today, we had our volleyball game versus two different schools. In our first game with Rosevale High School, we won. We totally had it and owned it, but in the second game with Saint Mary's Academy, we lost. I was so pressured and frustrated, of course they also were, but not as much as me. I know I told you numerous times how I get so crapped up when it comes to my turn in serving the ball, well.. it happened again. All I wanted to say was some curse words. I wanted to die at that time. I have so much regrets now, and I am afraid I can't do anything about it anymore. We had our first game in the morning and our second game in the afternoon. We were so tired, bored, and we just wanted to sleep. We were not in perfect condition like in the morning, so I blame that reason why we lost. We just didn't have it, or I guess we had. We lost over a point! 25-24, DARN! And the weather was just not cooperating, it made us wanted to sleep more.. So now, since we have already lose 2 games and we have won a game, we need 2 more games to be in the Championships. We'd love to be a part of the championships. Darn! And I just wish I can do well starting tomorrow. I just can't relax and not be pressured, I just have to trust myself.. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME. :D

Longing for Rest, rest, and more Forever 21!

Hello! I thought my blog was on a hiatus, but I just can't help blogging! Anyway, school has been a bad ass lately. And I am so friggin' tired! To give you an idea of what's making me exhausted these pass few days, then here it goes.

I have to deal with the Independent Study System our school is adapting. 7 major subjects with about 3 activities each PLUS! The due dates are on the same day.
It's Science Month which means ..... INVESTIGATORY PROJECT! It's so frustrating, a lot of research to do and talk about research papers! Anyway, my group will investigate on the feasibility of Guava Leaves extract as a Acne/ Pimple treatment.
Volleyball practice. I hate it when it gets too boring when we practice. And what I hate the most is when I do my service (serve the ball) it goes in the other side of the court, but when it's the actual game already, it doesn't even come close! Talk about frustrating!
Dance Club. I bet you all know I'm in the dance club or as what we call it, Dance Troupe. I have no problems with this except that the rehearsals are so tiring and are on the same day as the volleyball practice! So, how do you expect me to show up on both? If only I can cut my body into half :P

Anyway, I am not confident with my exam results except for the Social Studies subject. I don't any problems with it 'cause 1. I LOVE THE SOCIAL STUDIES! and 2. Our teacher is just awesome! I think my grades are pretty low now, but it's ok. It's still the first grading period, who knows? I'll step up a notch. I just don't get it why I panic when I get my test papers! hahah :P Enough of this.

FOREVER 21. I am so in-love with Forever21. Unfortunately, I live in a place where it's not very Fashion-ish, I must say. But, my sister is going to Manila next next week (I think) and I certainly have the things I want in mind. Oh yeah! I really want a lot of stuff now because I want to start changing my wardrobe and disposing my old ugly stuff! I want a tiered skort, a lot of accesories, tons of new tops, acid washed denims or jeggings, studded pumps, and the 3 of the brogues from Ichigo which I featured in my previous post! Oh well, I am thinking of my sister to buy me these since it would be cheaper in Manila and I don't have to pay for shipping. :)

HOW'S SCHOOL TODAY. today was major nerve-wracking! In my Math subject, we have to do workouts, and not the physical ones...the SUDOKU ones. I was having difficulties about it yesterday, but today was great! I totally loved it, I even asked my teacher for more puzzles! :D

But even though, I NEED MAJOR REST and a lot of spa! :D

And oh! Before I forget, WELCOME FALL! I love you :x I just love fall and fall trends! :D I can start layering now. It's hard to be creative with the heat! :) And WELCOME SEPTEMBER! :) I am so looking forward to October because finally, I can have my hands on my new UrbanOgs! :D

Fruit of my labor

This is a late post. But like what they say, "It's better late than never."

I guess you can still remember my post about the poster we were tasked to make. So, last Friday, we had our culminating activity for the "Buwan ng Wika" or rather, Language month. I somehow forgot to tell you it was a contest 'cause I really didn't think about it that much. Anyway, it was a contest, hence the title. WE WON! I just had to post this not because I want everyone to know, but rather for you to see the fruit of my group's labor :D

We placed 3rd and got this cute trophy and some cash and a parable book :)

Just that for now! Anyway, I'm ecstatic for my UrbanOg shoes! :D It's a looOoong wait, but it'll be all good!

As all of you know, I am having major shoppin urges and spending issues. But what the heck! I can't help but want them then I think of saving up for 'em! You know I just bought 2 pairs of shoes from urbanOg right? Guess what? I browsed online and saw these fantastic pair of wedges!


Jeffrey Campbells? No no no. They're A LOT cheaper and it looks the same! aaagghhh, I'm having that something again when seeing something uber pretty! :D

That's all for my post today. Just the shoes :D And hey, I'm planning to buy the shoes from Shop Death.by.Platforms, oh yeaaah!
